Biomedical Equipment Technician III

Job Description

The Biomedical Equipment Technician III is responsible for the maintenance, repair, and calibration of complex biomedical equipment and systems. This position requires advanced technical knowledge and skills in the areas of electronics, mechanics, and computer systems.

Responsibilities:

• Perform preventive maintenance, repair, and calibration of complex biomedical equipment and systems
• Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and perform necessary repairs
• Perform safety inspections and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
• Document all maintenance and repair activities in accordance with departmental procedures
• Provide technical support and training to other technicians and users of biomedical equipment
• Assist in the evaluation and selection of new biomedical equipment and systems
• Participate in on-call rotation and respond to emergency service requests as needed

Requirements:

• Associate's degree in Biomedical Equipment Technology or related field preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in the maintenance and repair of complex biomedical equipment and systems
• Advanced technical knowledge and skills in electronics, mechanics, and computer systems
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
